Review Process

Manuscripts are reviewed initially by the Editors and only those meeting the aims and scope of the CEPS journal will be sent for blind review. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two referees. All manuscripts are reviewed as rapidly as possible, but the review process usually takes up to three/four months.
The CEPS Journal has an online-based review system via the Open Journal System. All submissions should be made via the OJS - http://ojs.cepsj.si/.

Supporting documents:

Title page

To facilitate blind reviewing, the title page should NOT form part of the manuscript file.

A single separate file (e.g., Title Page) should also be uploaded. The Title Page is not forwarded for review. The Title Page of the manuscript must give the title of the manuscript, author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s), and the e-mail address of the corresponding author designated to receive correspondence from the editorial office. The name of the author(s) should appear at the beginning immediately under the title of the manuscript.

Cover Letter

Cover letter is mandatory. A cover letter is intended for the Editor-in-Chief and should explain why the manusctript is appropriate for consideration for publication in CEPSj and how complements and upgrades the work already published in recent five years in CEPS journal.

List of potential referees

A list of 5 potential referees is also mandatory. In your list of 5 reviewer suggestions, provide the names, the affiliations (institution and country) and e-mail addresses of the potential referees. Please also provide at least 3 references for each of the proposed reviewers, relevant to the scientific field of the submitted manuscript. The referees should be experts in the field of submitted manuscript and should come from institutions other than (and countries other than) those of any of the authors. Authors declare no conflict of interest with the suggested reviewers.

Format of Manuscripts

Manuscripts should be typed on in 12-point font Times New Roman, single-spaced throughout.

All types of papers send to CEPS Journal should comprise an Abstract, Keywords, the body of the manuscript, Acknowledgment (if applicable) and References. It can also include an Appendix if necessary.

The body of the manuscripts reporting empirical research should be presented in IMRaD format (Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion and Conclusions).

The Introduction comprises a review of the relevant literature with theoretical background ending with a research problem and research questions addressed, or hypothesis stated.

The Method of the manuscript should comprise: (1) participants (detailed description of the sample) or materials used in the research (description of textbooks or other documents, etc.), (2) instruments for gathering data (questionnaires, achievement tests and other tests, interviews or observation protocols, etc.), and (3) research design (detailed description how the study was carried out).

The Results section reports what was found in the study.

The Discussion section explains the meaning and significance of the results in the light of other literature/research already presented in the introduction, and provides answers to the research questions.

The Conclusions should, rather than just repeating results, state well-articulated outcomes of the study, its limitations and briefly suggest future lines of research based on findings reported in the manuscript, including the application of conclusions in practice.

The structure of review and theoretical papers should comprise brief Introduction where the clear aim of the paper is presented following the argumentation, and finishing with the Conclusions.

Abstract and Key Words
Abstract should not exceed 250 words.

Please provide 3 to 5 key words or short phrases in alphabetical order after the abstract.

Acknowledgement(s)

Acknowledgements of people, grants, funds, etc. should be placed in a separate section before the References.

Ethics statement

In the Method section as part of the Research design section of the paper, the authors should clearly state that the research was carried out following ethical standards for pedagogical research, e.g “The research study was approved by the XX (Name of Affiliation) Ethical Research Committee.”

Appendices

Any supplementary material you wish to include in your submission should be submitted in the same file as the manuscript.

Figures, tables and illustrations

Figures and Tables should be incorporated into the adequate place in the manuscript text.

All photographs, graphs and diagrams should be referred to as a Figure and they should be numbered as Figure 1, Figure 2, etc. Complete and descriptive titles of the figures should be put bellow the figure.

Each table should be numbered as Table 1, Table 2, etc. Complete and descriptive titles of the tables should be put before the table. Tables and figures must be referred to in the text and numbered in order of their appearance.

Citations in text

References should follow the American Psychological Association (APA, 7th ed.) style in alphabetical order. References should be cited in the text first alphabetically, then by date (e.g. Devetak, 2009; Vogrinc & Valenčič Zuljan, 2009; Vogrinc & Valenčič Zuljan, 2010) and listed in alphabetical order in the reference section at the end of the manuscript.

If the cited reference has three and more authors it should be cited like this: first author + et al. (Vinko et al., 2020), but list the first 20 authors in the reference list.

Use a comma between two references by the same author (e.g. Vogrinc, 2000, 2002).

When authors are mentioned in text, i.e. not in parentheses, do not use ampersand (e.g. As suggested by Devetak and Vogrinc (2003), but NOT as has been shown by Brown & Green (2004)).

When a specific page, section, equation, or other division of the work is cited, after the author's last name(s), and the year of publication, a specific page reference should be included (e. g. Vogrinc, 2008, p. 5).

Examples of acceptable forms of references at the end of the chapter are:

The titles of sources that are not originally in English must be translated into English so that the English translation follows the original title in square brackets.
